  My FI bought a charcoal grey suit for our wedding from Banana Republic. If you time it right, you can buy it during one of their sales that makes it very affordable. We were able to use a 40% off sale that they had back in June (I have a Banana card) and we got his suit for $275, which in our opinion was very affordable for a men's suit!
  
  You could always check Macys and other department stores to see what they have.

  Not sure if this is an option but I know we are using gray tuxedo's for a more semi-formal look.  I also just like the look of the gray better with our colors.
  
  Anways, I know you can rent the gray tux's at most rental shops and they look very similar to suits.  You can get them without the vests and cumberbunds.

  The problem I have run into with gray tuxedo rentals is that they only offer "one" and its more of a heather gray color. my fiance is not a fan of that light gray...

  Men's warehouse has a number of different grey suits. When they are on sale they are under $200. You can view them online.
