TRYING TO DO PLACE CARDS FOR MY WEDDING BUT I'M UNSURE IF THE BRIDAL PARTY IS SUPPOSE TO GET THEM CUZ THEY ALREADY KNOW THAT THEY ARE AT THE HEAD TABLE. AND IF THEY DO GET ONE THEN IF THEIR FAMILIES ARE SITTING AT A SEPERATE TABLE THEY NEED TO HAVE ONE TO, RIGHT?
Re: PLACE CARDS
I would suggest having a place card for each person, particularly if you are serving a plated meal and need to indicate who gets what meal. You could also do a place card for each couple or family, but if they are spread between tables, you obviously would want to have separate cards for each table.
Also, I would suggest seating everyone with their own dates or families rather than a head table. While it's a break from tradition, it's more comfortable for everyone if they can sit with their loved ones, especially if those loved ones do not know anyone else in attendance.

As usual, I agree with everything Opal said :)
My Married Bio
Place cards are at each place at the table, showing people exactly what seat belongs to them. The Escort Cards direct each person/couple/family to which table they are sitting at, and they choose their own seats.
So, assuming you are talking about Escort Cards, then I would do one for each person/couple attending the wedding. ie: Mr. John Smith, Mr. & Mrs. John Smith or The Smith Family.
I would also not separate your bridal party from their families- if your bridal party have significant others or families, they should be seated together. If this is too many people, then consider a sweetheart table.
Good luck!
Honestly, even if it's escort cards, I would do it too. I can't be THAT many more, you know?
