Where did you find your wedding dress? Recommendations?!

There are SO many bridal stores/boutiques out there to find dresses, I don't even know where to start!  I don't want to go about $1,300, so I'm wondering where you had a great experience, and even where you DIDN'T.  I do know I want to stay away from David's Bridal.  I live in Royal Oak and am willing to go to any of the surrounding areas.  Thanks!!

Try Allesandras at 12 and Hoover in Warren. Their customer service is wonderful! I went to 2 other places before there and wish I could have gone there first. My search was effortless and I bought a beautiful dress for only $650! They have lots of dresses!  Good Luck! Avoid David's Bridal at all costs, if you can!

oh boy.  I did read your post  - I got mine at
    DAVID'S BRIDAL  Smile

    Madison Hts -

I had a great experience - my consultant's name was Danisa if you want to give them a try.

I made an appt on a weekday evening, took pics of what I liked and what I didn't.  Tried on maybe 8 dresses and found the one.

I know they get a bad rap for some reason but I couldn't be happier with my experience.

I went to Victoria's Bridal in dearborn and the ladies I have been amazing so far> Good thing is the alterations are included in the price of your dress. My dress was $800 and they did a hem, bussle, and took it in at the sides and top. Plus if your girls get their dresses from their alterations are included in the price of their dress as well.

i found my dress at Bombshell Bridal. however, it's not the traditional wedding dress. it's more of a DW wedding dress. flowy, more simple. it's $400.

I got mine at Becker's Bridal in Fowler (north of Lansing). I paid $650.

Yes, it was a pain to go that far, but just get the alterations/bustle done close to home and it's not that bad.

Becker's has lots of samples in all kinds of sizes.

I found my dress at Alessandras at 12 and Hoover. They had great customer service and I loved it there.

However, I purchased my dress at Arena bridal on 23 and Van Dyke. They had the same dress and sold me the sample for a few $100 less plus alterations were covered in the price of my dress. They also had amazing customer service.

I got mine at Moni's Bridal in Farmington for $1100. I have had an ok experience there. I have to admit that it is a bit chaotic there on Saturdays and Moni is quite forward. However, for most of my experience there, I worked with Gina, who was awesome.

They have a really big selection with all kinds of budgets and styles. I eventually had to stop looking at the price because what I thought would be a very expensive $1000+ dress ended up being only $500ish. My bridesmaids also ordered their dresses from here.

There is an adorable shop in Milford, called Gina's Bridal. Not a huge selection, but it seemed like you got a lot of one on one time in the store.

I went to a few places and ended up purchasing from Nichole Michael's.  Nichole is wonderful! I had a budget of $1000 and there were tons of dresses for me.  I bought my dress for $650.  Her store is located at like 22 and Schoenherr.

I went to Bella Bridal in West Bloomfield. It's a family owned shop and the ladies are great. One of my friends works there, so I'm a little biased, but was very comfortable with everyone. Tell them your budget and they'll work within it. Ellen is the one that helped me :)

I'm buying my dress fro Pat's Bridal in Utica Michigan. Its just a small little shop but I LOVE the lady that runs it. My sister got married a few years ago and we got our bridesmaids dresses from there, and I had a great experience at that time as well. I also like Pietra's bridal in Shelby Twp., MI the help and service were really excellent.    GOOD LUCK! :)
