hello, hello!

Well hello there!  I've been seriously MIA for the past few months...although I've tried to stop in every now and again to see all of these absolutely BEAUTIFUL weddings  that have taken place over the past month or so...congratulations to all of the new "MRS." out there!
AND, I see tons of new faces on here...YAY for all of the brides to be!!
Anyway, just wanted to stop in and say hello....I hope to be around more often in the next couple of weeks....I've got FI's little bro's wedding that I am a BM in on Nov. 13th (my birthday...ha!), but things should be pretty calmed down after that, thankfully :) I can't wait to report the details and show some photos of that wedding...it should be... interesting.  :)

I can't remember the last checks I posted, but I know we've accomplished a few things in the madness since I last posted....here are the most recent (I'll save reviews for later):

Officiant: Rev. Arlene Goldman
Florist: J. Morgan Flowers
Save The Dates: Wedding Paper Divas
Hotel Room Blocks

Up next:
Photobooth (open to suggestions!)
Videographer (same here!)
Invites
and a million other things I'm sure....... :)

oooh, and I'm expecting a phone call from Victoria's Bridal saying that my dress is in any day now! dun dun dunnnnn!!!

take care, ladies!
xxoo

    Congrats :)

My fiance and I spent the last month meeting with videographers and we decided to go with Ever Clear Productions. I wouldn't really go by their blog b/c it's not completely up to date but if you take the time to meet them in person they are a husband-wife team and are amazing! We are so excited to have made one of our first checks :)

Very dissatisfied overall.  Initial meetings were good and we paid in  full way before event.  Unfortunately, what they delivered, was not what we had shown them we wanted.  Our designs were simple and clean, roses in a clear glass vases for the tables / Two different roses for in between the cake layers and the same roses for the bridal bouquets with a few calla lilly’s, also rose petals for the bridal walkway and cake table.  We provided pictures of the exact way bouquets and flowers were to look, however, at delivery it was as if they ignored our requests.  The images provided for bridal party bouquets specifically had stem portions wrapped all the way down to the bottom, an important detail.  The flowers delivered were only partially wrapped, bottom of the stems plainly visible, which will be in our wedding pictures forever.   Also, our colors, dark brown and burnt orange.  Bouquet wrappings were to match.  Some of the bouquets delivered were wrapped in the dark brown others were wrapped in a different light brown, like they ran out of what we asked for and just used other ribbon that was lying around.  The junior bridesmaids bouquets delivered only had 6 small roses tied together, anemic looking and pitiful.  Inbetween the layers of our cake was to be filled with roses, giving it a tight look. Designer sent day of the wedding refused to remain for cake arrival, leaving our coordinator with an insufficient number of roses to fill in the layers, only the front half of our cake had sparsely placed flowers on it, what was supposed to be tightly packed was instead spread far apart not even reaching around the back of the cake,  To have our upgraded cake ruined like this was very upsetting to my bride on our wedding day. Also the designer did not leave a sufficient amount of rose petals to properly decorate the bridal walkway and cake table, so that also looked pitiful.  Our coordinator tried to call them to have them return and fix it, but they refused.  We feel as if corners were cut because our job was small.  When I E-mailed to say I was unhappy I was told “EVERYTHING THAT COULD HAVE GONE WRONG AT YOUR EVENT…….DID.”  I was given reasons for their failures that had nothing to do with my complaints.  I attempted to check their excuses for their poor performance which tried to blame others rather then accepting responsibility, and found the excuses to be untrue. I expressed this to them and was then told “I’M SORRY YOU TOOK THE WORD OF A VENDOR WITH NO ACCOLADES WHATSOEVER OVER OURS. AS OPPOSED TO THE RECIPIENT OF ‘BEST FLORAL DESIGNER IN SOUTH FLORIDA’ FOUR YEARS IN A ROW FROM THE KNOT MAGAZINE.”  (Arrogant and Cocky response) When I told them their excuses didn’t address my complaints I was told  “I’M SORRY WE TOOK YOUR WEDDING IN THE FIRST PLACE.  I ADVISED JACQUELINE TO NOT TAKE IT AND GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE EVENT.” (We paid in full months before the event, which shows that before they delivered our flowers they didn’t think they charged us enough and so didn’t care about quality of service provided). I was further told “ I’M SORRY FOR THE STATE OF FLORIDA BAR ASSOCIATION. THEY ACTUALLY ADMITTED YOU.” (The vendor chose to respond to my complaints by launching personal insults at me.)   Because of our experiences, we felt that we needed to express our dissatisfaction so that others may not have the same experience with this florist.
