Rehearsal today, story of my life for the next 6 weeks! And I can't believe I feel so awake, went out in NYC with a friend last night, and by the time we got back it was 3 a.m.

Morning! I got up at 7am so the cat would leave us alone. The dog woke FH up at 3am to go out and he had a hard time going back to sleep so I let him sleep in. Unfortunately that put a damper on our plans to go see the tall ships that are in town before the crowds come out so we put that off until tomorrow.

My goal is to get the house clean this morning before it gets too hot. This afternoon is the Pride Parade which should be fun!

Morning, all!

I've got appointments all day (but at least one is a hair appointment, which I will seriously enjoy) and then H and I are going on a long-overdue date night. It's been eons since we've done that, and I'm really excited for it.

He's working on trim in the nursery this morning, and then we're heading to Home Depot to pick up some doors before my hair appointment. It's all terribly exciting around these parts.

Morning.

I woke up with a headache. I'm hoping food will help so I don't have to take anything for it. I have to work today, and it would be much easier without the headache.

Only two weeks until vacation, though, so yay! Also, I have an appointment in a week and a half to hear the baby's heartbeat and maybe an U/S. Double yay!

Morning. We just got out of bed but I've been awake most of the night. Sadie hates sleeping anywhere from home and barks at every sound. She is now sleeping in my lap on the couch in the living room and that annoys me. We have FI's cousins wedding today. His parents and I are going to leave the reception at 8 and he is leaving after the ceremony at 630 for a football game. I'm sure the drama will be thrilling.

Not much going on here, H is still in bed and I just got up. Jo Koy was hilarious last night, my cheeks still hurt from smiling so much.

I've got my tattoo appointment in a couple hours, then possibly heading to a friend's going-away BBQ if it's still going on when I finish at the tattoo shop.

Morning.

I was all set to start my new job on Monday, but I got an e-mail just now that they may need to push it back a few days. I should have known that would happen. I was originally supposed to start in May. But they seemed so sure that Monday was a go, I even did all of the paperwork and everything last week.

I went clothes shopping yesterday. The only store I had any luck at was NY&Co. PSA: they have 50% off the ENTIRE store this weekend. I got 3 pairs of pants, 4 tops, a cardigan, a belt and some jewelry for $180. I was so happy to find some good stuff after not being able to find a damn thing that fit me right in any other store.

<div>To be fair, it hasn't always been their fault directly. First they were waiting for the state to authorize the funding for the position. They thought that would be done by May 1st, and it didn't happen until 2 weeks ago. Then they were waiting for the temp agency that I have to go through to sign the contract with them. That happened last week and I went in to sign all of the papers and do tax forms, etc. Now they are saying they have to wait for HR to do something or other, and for my background check to process (even though they promised the background check would be processed by yesterday). Morning. H and I were weeding in a yard at 6am and just finished, hit 4 yards in all this morning. We're relaxing for an hour or so then heading south for the wedding.

Mehg, is this the Belle tat? Can't wait to see it! Oh, and fun fact. A little while ago I looked up "sexy Belle Beauty & the Beast" because I was going to try to find funny images to send you, and got a bunch of porn references instead. At work. I'm still waiting to get flagged on that one.

Oh Brandi- you should seriously think about having a fan (not ceiling fan) when you go places with Sadie. It will block out a ton of the sounds she is hearing.

Good Morning. I'm getting a text every few minutes thanks to having a niece with a brand new cell phone and unlimited texting. Maybe the novelty will wear off in a few days? Maybe? At least I can get ahold of the kid now.

I'm making breakfast and planning the virtual nothing we have to do today. This might end up being a sit on our butts and vegetate day.

Haha Sesh that's awesome. And yep, this is for my Belle tat. When I first came up with the concept, I googled "Belle pinup" and found a few pretty raunchy ones myself. She's drawn up three different poses and is letting me choose my favorite of the three to get done.

We were using a fan last night because it was so hot and I thought that might work too. Unfortunately she is just more on edge. She has such anxiety about stuff because of her size I think. She is only 2 lbs so even toys scare her.

I could use pedicure myself. I need to do it soon. I hate feet; they get me around but they sure can be nasty looking.

I am really debating whether to forward an email I received to H. I got it from an acquaintance who is very involved in animal rescue. This is for a Ragdoll mixed cat - male, 9 or 10 years old, very social (which Ragdolls are), and gets along with other cats. When he was found a few months ago, he also had a lion cut so this friend is pretty sure he was someone's pet that escaped, but she had no luck in finding the owner(s). Our Bo had a lion's cut before he died. I am so back and forth over this. I'm thinking T is going to say he's not ready, but there's just something about this cat's pictures that is screaming "Bo!" even tho his coloring is different. Just so unbalanced in the house since the little guy's been gone. Other cat is female and she's very alpha. And she's been acting strangely since Bo's death. I don't know if she misses him even tho they didn't really get along too well or if she's just at odds with having all of the attention on her? She's not an affectionate cat at all and I'm sure that's what my H misses most of all.

It's going to be a hot one here in Chicago.
