Any and all advice will be so very appreciated. FI and I want to stay within the US (Europe would be our DREAM homeymoon, but its way too expensive!) and not go to a beach. (Conversation went like this: FI--"What would we do in the Carribean?" Me-"You know, relax on the beach..." FI--"But what would we DO on the beach?" Me--"ok, maybe not...") So maybe hiking would be better--we both enjoy that. My parents have a vacation package and they are giving us a week, which means we'll get a free stay in a condo for a week (so no hotel recs necessary). Other notes--we (I) kind of want to go "far" since we want to have kids right away so the next big vacation could be a long way off--we could drive to the Carolinas or something with kids. We live in Pittsburgh but will be flying out of Detroit for our honeymoon.
Some options I have looked at are Colorado and Lake Tahoe. The vacation agency has put people up in Stateline, Nevada at places with very mixed reviews. Anyone been to Stateline? Easy access to hiking trails? Nice restaurants? Would we need to rent a car?
Colorado--the agency has put people in condos in Avon, Breckenridge, Edwards, Frisco, and Steamboat Springs. Any thoughts on those? We want to do hiking and other outdoors activities (any good mountains to climb?) but also have a couple days to just stay in and relax. An interesting town to explore would be nice too.
Any other ideas?
Sorry if this is super complicated. But I figured if even one or two people had been to these places, it could be a huge help

Honeymoon would be the last few days in June-first few days in July.
TIA!!
