Ritz Carlton Kapalua

Hello beautiful brides-

Has anyone ever stayed, or been married at the Ritz Kapalua in Maui?

We have been looking at it for awhile now and it seems to have good reviews and an affordable price.

We'll probably hire a consultant to help us plan, but I wanted to get any input on the resort.

Thanks!!

Hi!  The Ritz Carlton Kapualua is beautiful!  I've seen a few photos of weddings there and it looks amazing.  I would say the only downside is the area it's located in tends to be more "exposed to the elements" - i.e. the weather tends to be more variable and can get windy/rainy.  If I recall correctly, the Ritz isn't located directly on a beach (but a short walk from it)....not sure whether that's a consideration or not.  Have you checked out resorts on the south-side?  The south has better chances of sunny weather and there are also some beautiful hotels in the area.  HTH!!  :)

    Hi,

I am actually getting married at the Ritz Carlton in October 12, 2012 (still awhile away)! I've been going to Maui for years and I recently visited last September to look at wedding sites, venues etc. I visited the Sheraton & Westin in Ka'anapali, Grand Wailea, Four Seasons, and the Ritz Carlton. By far, the Ritz had the most gorgeous grounds and Maria Alvarez was so accomodating and sold me on the location. I was assigned a wedding coordinator and she emailed me right away going over my package and all the details. They are absolutely phenomenal and really take their job seriously. The recent reply to this post was incorrect, the beach is connected to the hotel and it really wasn't a far walk. Also, when booking your month, really consider the weather trends.
What I liked the most about the Ritz Carlton is that their grounds are very spacious and your wedding event truly is secluded. The last thing you want are guests doing cannon-balls into the pool while you're trying to walk down the aisle. Because of their spacious grounds, your wedding will be private. I highly recommend the Ritz Carlton.

Thanks for the correction  :)  ... I knew it was connected and a short walk to the beach, but didn't realize the property itself stretched all the way to beachfront.  Admittedly, we were too tired and it was raining/windy that afternoon, so we didn't make it down the path to check it out!

I still feel it's set somewhat far back from the beach compared to other resorts....but then again "long" and "far" are subjective!  :)  The grounds look immaculate and the cliff views are gorgeous.  Our florist did some weddings there and the pics look fabulous.  I'm sure you'll have a beautiful wedding there!  :)
