Hi Ladies!
I am hoping you can provide some advice and or recommend some vendors. I booked my hair and make up a salon in New Rochelle for myself, 6 bridesmaids and 2 moms over 6 months ago (my wedding is in October). I had my trial on Saturday and was pretty unhappy with the makeup (so were the moms who also did a trial). I was able to score an appointment with Jill from JK Flashy for a trial next week and she will be available on the wedding day. The salon now wants to charge me a travel fee of $225 to have the hair stylist meet us at the hotel, plus my girls loose the discount we were going to get by having the same salon do hair and makeup.
My question for you is – can you recommend any good stylists who would come to my hotel for the day of and charge me less then $225? Or is this a reasonable amount and I should just suck it up? To be honest, I liked the hair, but I wasn’t head over heels for it – so I wouldn’t mind using someone new. I just hate having to pay another trial fee.
