Out of state need help

I am trying to help my sister plan her wedding.  She is getting married in September on base but is looking for an off base reception venue.  She has a small budget and it wanting to have a luau type theme (well atleast a pig).  Any ideas are appreciated.  Oh and in VA Beach area.

    What kind of venue is she looking for? Does she want it on the beach or maybe in a hotel/venue? I am personally having my reception at the Holiday Inn Exec Center off Greenwhich road which is about 15-20mins from the beach. I chose them because they offered the lowest minimum and I wanted my reception in a hotel so my guests wouldn't have to drive afterwards. Also I think Grand Affairs does a beach wedding and they are also pretty affordable with lots of choices. I'm not sure where exactly their beach site is located but I know their office/indoor reception site is in Virginia Beach. Those are probably the two most affordable places that do both the reception and the catering together that I know of there. If you can go a little higher in price the Sheraton on the ocean front is beautiful and the coordinator there is very nice/helpful. But the minimum there is about $6000.00 for the smallest room. At least that was what I was told for a Saturday night June wedding. HTH and GL There are a lot of great places in VA Beach!

    yachtclubweddings.com ...they offer an all inclusive wedding reception package based on 100ppl...$5999.
