tiffany's warning

Just to let all brides out there know of my daughter's experience with Tiffany's.  She went in early Aug and picked out bridesmaids dresses, then had the 3 girls go in to be fitted in late aug..  Today we just learned the dresses were never ordered.  The wedding is early Jan.  Luckily someone accidently saw that the dresses had not been ordered.  But it was not the original consultatant.  And the store did  not have my daughter's cell phone or house number in the computer although I saw her give them the info on at least twice of the 4 times we visited the store.  The original consultant was supposed to tell us that they would not place the order until after all 3 girls had put down a deposit.  The last girl told the consultant that the bride was going to pay the deposit but told her she would handle it.  Well, she didn't.  Now they say the dresses will be in Dec 8 and the wedding is Jan 9th.  I am soo upset that a business that's been around this long dropped the ball on so many levels.  So all brides out there, double check al the details.

I'm sorry you had a poor experience with them! I've had nothing but a good experience so far. I had questioned whether a dress could be made with a corset back instead of a zipper, and within 24 hours she had contacted the designer and called me back. I also was able to purchase my veil from them as a sample at a discount since they no longer worked with the designer.

I was shocked that Tiffanys dropped the ball so bad on these dresses.  And they wouldn't refund the entire deposits.  They kept $25 to cover "their costs", but they didn't do anything.

keep in mind that though the tiffany's name has been around for decades, the business has changed hands numerous times, right up to 2009--so you're essentially dealing with a brand new store even if you recognize the name, and they're likely to make all the little mistakes a new store makes from time to time.  Nobody's perfect (but they should certainly own up to their mistakes and make good!)
