Happy Friday the 13th - 10/13/12 Ladies - 3 months to go!

The next 3 months are going to fly.  What's the biggest thing you need to finalize?

For us it is confirming the content of our ceremony with our officiant.  Booked him months ago, but he doesn't finalize until close out.  I'm excited to get the ceremony planned.

  • Yay!!

i need shoes! and i need to find my postage=(
  • Wow, time is flying! Finalizing and paying for the Reception dinner, I think that is the biggest and 2nd most expensive thing on our wedding list.  We don't take care until after we get all of our RSVP's back, but i'm hoping we get to have a food tasting sometime next month!

  • Dress alteration, finalize cake and rehearsal dinner, address and send invitations, get tux for FI....
  • I'm so friggin excited... and nervous! It's starting to really sink in, and in fact I had my first real wedding dream last night. At least it wasn't a nightmare other than finding shoes at the last minute in my dream.

We still need to work on ceremony programs, the card box, finalizing the rehearsal dinner location, and keeping my nerves in check for my first wedding dress fitting. It's in 3 weeks! Then 2 weeks later is my shower! Everything is happening so fast now.

  • So excited it's three months from today! This weekend I am making table numbers and name cards with my FMIL and FSIL. Invites are ready and waiting to go out, which has me sooo anxious to just send them now!

  • Long time luker, first time poster here!  I fee like everytime I even THINK about wedding stuff, another month or two passes.  Where has the time gone??  In two days I will have been engaged for a whole year!  It seems like yesterday :)

I need to find a place to have our rehearsal dinner (working on that while I *should* be working!), I need to finalize designs for our paper goods (invites, programs, place cards, etc.), but fortunately my FSIL does this part time and is gifting it to us.  Otherwise, I would be STRESSING about some invites! I also need to make a decision on hair/makeup.  Looking for recommendations, but my local board is pretty slow :(

I'll be crafting a lot this weekend! I'm making hanging yarn ball lanterns to hang in my reception space and I will also be making paper flowers for the centerpieces.  I am happy I set some time aside 3 months out...I don't want to be stressing about this closer to the big day!!

  • Amanda I am new to posting :) I have to find someone to do hair. I am wash/condition/leave-in...I don't style or 'fix' I don't evenbown a blow dryer much less have an actual hairdresser. I haven't thought about music at all, so that is another decision and expense to figure out. There is other stuff to do and decide, but the plan is in the works overall so I'm good!

  • I'm so excited! I couldn't stop babbling about it at work, I think my friends are starting to hate all the wedding talk! LOL!

Still got to find a DJ and get the clothes figured out for the FI....

  • Ugh, I have so much to do still! START invitations,  pick a different officiant (FH didn't like the one we had met with last week), and make some decisions for the venue (linens, a few items on the menu).

I live in NYC but the wedding's in Indianapolis, so last week we went to Indianapolis and had a whirlwind day of 5 vendor appointments (venue, florist, officiant, photographer) plus introducing our fmailies to each other/suit shopping in between appointments. I feel way better than I did in terms of planning before that day, but now there's still a lot to do!
