Anyone planning on wearing a tiara..? (PIP)

Or sparkly headband? My mom picked up a tiara for my hair trial this weekend, I do love it, but seems over the top! Anyone else planning to wear one and care to share pictures!? TIA!

EDIT: This is the one she picked up for me.. and my dress (not this colour), what do you guys think?

One of my bridesmaids bought me a tiara almost a year ago, I am definitely not a tiara type girl though. I wore it for the bachelorette party, I liked it more than I thought I would, but still too princess-y for me to wear to the wedding.

  • I'm will not be. I'm not opposed to a sparkly headband, but I'm not a fan of a tiara. The only people I think can actually get away with it is true royalty. Hello, Kate Middleton.
  • They feel dated to me.  I'm not crazy about them.
  • My personal opinion, why would you want to wear one?  If you are not royalty, it just looks silly, like you think you're a princess or diva or something.  Gives off the wrong vibe to me.
  • I had always wanted too but when it came down to it decided I would for go it for a feather clip. If you love it go for it. Otherwise I like the idea of wearing it for the bachelorette party.

  • I'm wearing one. You can see it in my siggy
  • I'm not doing one. It was a little to "promish" for me and I wanted something a little more understated. Now if I had married William that would be a different story.

Definitely not. The only thing on my head will be a couple of flowers. I would look redonk in a tiara.

  • No.  Absolutely not.  I am no princess. Kiss

  • Nope. I don't want the princess feel, I think I'm too old for that and its really not the overall look I'm going for.

  • No, I honestly don't like them at all. NMS

  • I can get on board with sparkly headbands, I really like them actually, but I think that a tiara is a little out of style now, or "dated" as a PP said, not to offend anyone.  Of course Kate Middleton is the exception.  If I was wearing William I'd be all over a tiara!!

    And all over William....

  • Thanks for all your opinions! I agree with what many of you are saying, I guess I'll see Saturday what it looks like all together and decide. My parents nickname for me is princess so I think this is why she wants me to have a tiara, lol. Our wedding is very formal and reception is in a french castle, so we will see. Definitely don't want the trying to hard, or just plain over the top look!

  • I think they can play up a formal wedding but it's NMS. I am doing a small navy blue clip at the back of my updo.

  • I'm wearing a sparkly hair comb, but not a tiara.  I don't have a picture of it, but it's pretty simple with some rhinestones and pearls.  I'm not opposed to tiaras.  I've seen some that look really nice, but it's just not my style.

[QUOTE]I am wearing a sparkly headband type accessory.  But remember, no matter what anyone else thinks, this is your wedding.  You said you loved the tiara your mom bought you, if you love it, then wear it. :)

Agree. It may not be everyone's style and that's fine. If you love it then go for it!
  • I am also wearing a tiara. I think if you like it, you should go for it. I feel like as women we tend to put everyone else before ourselves and our needs get met absolute last. My wedding day is all about me (and FI of course), but I feel like I can do whatever I want, and if I want to feel like a princess for one day, then I'm gonna do it!!
