11 days to go... rant..

oh my.. I have 11days to go til the big day.. Last week our caterer canceled on us due to a death in the fam.. and I couldn't believe it... I Freaked! Luckily, he reccommended another one in PSL, FL they've been great.  THen I got the new quote and holy $$$$.. the FI and I put our foot down.. So now 11 days and counting, we are re-working a menu again, to make the budget work cause of last minute drama.. They did have a bartender for us too, which solved that problem for us..
I do have to say about the new caterer the food choices are amazing- they can do just about anything.. and the food sounds amazing.. so i can't wait to eat - if i can get it back under the budget.
and all I keep wanting to ask is "is it over yet" cause doing this from 3000 miles away is starting to suck!

    Aw hon, I'm sorry you're going through this! But it sounds like the new caterers are even better than the ones you had.  You're not in a huge position of powere with 11 days to go, but try to make them understand that you olny budgeted so much for food and this is a totally unexpected situation.  Stick to your guns and try to get them as close to the original quote as possible.  Good luck!!!

    Oh wow, thats is a lot to be going through when your so close to the big day. Dont worry though, everything will work out just fine.

    That is a lot to take in but it all happens for a reason and the food/service will probably wind up being better than your first caterer.  Good Luck!

    You're one tough cookie. I'd have flown down to choke a beyotch. I think like pp said, everything happens for a reason, so work with what you have. Keep us posted, vibe for you!

    I agree with pp's but wow I would have freaked and prob flown down here too lol!
    Everything will work out though, and probably for the better :)

    Thanks girls it makes me feel like my freaking out wouldve have been all of your reactions too. That makes me feel better, everyone around me was like calm down.. Yea Right! lol You girls are fabulous and I dont know what i would've done this past year with out you all! hugs!
