Ceremony & Reception (PiPs).!!

Hey Ladies. So me and FI got our contract today for our ceremony and reception. I was throwing around ideas on how to set up cuz its a HUGE space.! I'm gonna tell a story with the pictures so pay atttn.! Lol

This is the hotel we're having it at:

This is gonna be my ceremony set up. I'm trying to find these lights in red.

Guests will leave the ceremony space and come here for cocktail hour. This space is right outside the ballroom. And it has some pretty stairs..makes for pretty pictures.

The brown double doors go to the ballroom. The black railing is the stairs. There is space on the other side of the stairs also. I'm thinking cocktail hour drinks and appetizers out here while the hotel staff set up the reception room to look sumthing like this:

With the dance floor. This picture is kind of boring. I will have the lights dimmed with red uplights to make the room red. The ceremony runway lights will go around the sweetheart and the bridal party tables. The reason why this room looks so much bigger is because the ballroom has a partition in the middle. I'm on the fence about putting up the partition and then opening it for the reception so it can be more intimate or leaving the big space. The cost of putting up the partition is covering it with draping cuz it doesn't go with the walls or anything. Kinda makes the room ugly.

But these are my ideas. Please Please Please let me know what you guys think. Should I change anything or is it great??

  • I agree, very pretty location :-) I'd do without the partition, then your guests can have more breathing room and not feel cramped.

What are you thinking for table decor? I only ask since you want to do red uplighting and that might take away from any decor you have.

I definitely dnt want anybody to feel cramped.! My table decor as of now are short centerpieces, nothing tall, and DIY candle lit table numbers. My centerpieces are submerged calla lillies on top of a round mirror and votive candles..well that's my idea. I may or may not go with that. I don't know.! Lol
