Need Photographer under $2K

I'm looking for a good photographer for my daughter's wedding this spring.  Budget is under $2K. If anyone has suggestions, please forward them on.

    Check out the local vendors feature on The Knot. You can search by price. There are a lot of good ones on there!

    I found a guy on Craigslist for $550. Its basic coverage, but adequate for my small budget, and his skills are pretty good for the price. We are meeting with him this weekend to sign a contract.

    Even the least expensive packages at the bridal show this weekend were over $1K, and I wasn't that impressed.. they all looked the same to me!

    With that budget you should be able to find someone really awesome in Austin. Your choices are endless! There are so many talented photographers in this town, but I like a more vintage style and these were just a few I considered: 
    LRConcept Photography 
    Kristi Wright Photography 
    Cho Photography
    Christina Carroll Photography 
    There were dozens more but I can't remember off the top of my head! 

    I ultimately decided on Benjamin Gustafsson who is new to the wedding scene but an amazing photographer. His prices are super low because he is new to weddings, but I loved his work so much. I JUST booked him this weekend and am super excited.

    Like a previous poster mentioned, I also thought a lot of the portfolios I looked at were "all the same".

    We had a tough decision, but we ended up going with Vignette Photography. The close runner up was Jessica Monnich. We loved them both, and they were both under 2K!

    we loved our photographer, Crystal Morales.  her website is capturedbycrystalphotography.com.  we had a package that had engagements, bridals, wedding day coverage, and prints and an album for under 1k.

    I selected J. Mark Photography. Husband and wife team... if they are still open for your date this spring - they might be good to visit. I don't live in Austin, but they keep in touch with me. They just sent me luggage tags and a note that they will be setting up a photo station/booth for my guests - no cost - doing it for all their 2010 couples. Cool!

    My wedding and bridal portrait photographer was Blanca Garcia at www.photographybyvanessa.com/blanca. She did an incredible job and is also under $2K.

    We chose Jamie Lapeyrolerie with Beloved Photography! She is AMAZING! She usually does destination weddings (people usually pay to fly her to exotic places to take their pics), but she has done a few here in Austin and a lot in Cali! She is unbelievable and she gives back to children in Africa! Anyway, we chose her for a lot of reasons and it was under 2K.
