  So far this week I have had my cousin (guestbook attendant) drop out due to a college chem exam (didn't she know about this earlier than this week?), a cousin's gf, and my friend's husband (due to family medical emergency) drop out but my dad's friend said he would be coming with his brother.  I figure it will all come out in the wash.  My venue automatically figures in 10% more than our final number in food so things will be fine.  If I let last minute add ons and cancellations get to me, I would be stressed.  I decided it really doesn't matter at this point.  The wedding is going to happen and it is going to be wonderful!

  WE had about 5 people NOT show up at the wedding... without previous warning...
  I suppose there is always expected to be a few... I honestly didn't notice till afterwards ...
  
  NOt fun expescially since we had paid for their meals... but it is expected to happen I suppose

  I had just sent off my final numbers to the caterer last week only for 3 people to back out so when he gave me the additional costs for the 4 people I had to tell him it will be for 1 extra not 4 like I had originally asked for.

  We too have people drop out and others who say they are coming. I've just given up on telling the venue. LOL My thought is we have a few spare chairs at a few tables and for sure people who say they will come and not show up so it will all even out.

  We only had 3 no shows - 1 we knew was possible about a week ahead of time; 1 emailed H the day of that he threw his back out; 1 we've never heard from.
  
  All in all it was pretty good.
  
  We had no last minute changes the week of.

  We had one person confirm today that she's coming, even though we needed final numbers yesterday. However, she's about 3 weeks from her due date and wasn't sure she'd make the trip, but her doc gaver her the ok this morning!

  The only people who gave me last minute 'no's were people we figured wouldn't come anyway, and were just being flaky and rude. One was my cousin, who told me 'maybe' until two weeks out. Then she sent me an email tellibg me she 'checked mapqurst, and it's too far to drive'. Good call on waiting, never know when geography will randomly change.
