Well, I am back from the party I threw for my friend at Pappadeux. I would highly recommend the restaurant in Uptown for an RD, engagement party or other event. They were wonderful to work with and the food was delicious and there was plenty of it. We rented the Mariner Room which seats 40. It was $100 for the room (for any event ending after 5 pm) but there was no minimum for the food. We had around 25 people and I was able to give a final count 3 days before. We were allowed to bring in our own cake.
When I went to see the room, the bigger room which seats 150 was being set for an RD and it was very nice also. The banquet rooms have private entrances as well as private bathrooms and are totally separated from the main restaurant. The restaurant provided candle centerpieces and they have some other options as well. It was really fabulous. My pics are too big to load but there are some on my facebook page:
