Opinions on the Omni for Minimoon

We are trying to decide on where we will stay for our "minimoon". Getting married in October and staying in town for 3 nights after while my parents look after the baby.
I really wanted to do the Royal Sonesta but it's just a little out of price range. The Omni has a more reasonable rate for the type of room we would like. We were also looking at Le Merais and Loft 523, but those two options come with a few compromises on what we want. Regardless, we neep to book asap.

Any opinions would be helpful.

    The Omni is a very nice hotel.....centrally located in the Quarter....great staff, nice little bar, rooms are very nice.....but cost about 18$ a day for parking but thats par for downtown...dont know about your other choices

    I used to work at the Royal Sonesta and when we were sold out we'd refer people to the Omni. It's pretty nice. I'd stay there, if that helps.

    Omni is real nice. Depending on when you want to be there, though, you should ask when construction will be done/ if it will affect your stay. They are updating everything to make it nicer/ more up to date.

    Hrmmmm. I think we have decided to try Le Merais. While the Omni would be nice, we can use the money we save on the room for other things. And, it will give me an excuse to splurge when we go on our big trip next year ;)
