wedding dress for AHR??

i have a question: would you ladies wear your wedding dress again for the AHR?? we got married on 10/21/11 in Maui and we are finally throwing our "celebration of marriage" party at my in laws' back yard/patio for those people who couldnt make it to Maui. so since we are throwing a party not necessarily a full on reception, basically a small dinner, drinks, dj, and mariachi, would it be appropriate to wear my wedding dress again??? part of me wants to wear it again since i know i will never wear it again and sorta as a way to show it off.. but part of me feels like it will be sorta uncomfortable and i feel like people are going to think its wierd since there was no real wedding ceremony that same dayor that its just a celebration of marriage not really a wedding?? am i overthinking this and going crazy or should i just stick to a nice coctail dress?? our party is this Saturday the 19th!! so any advice??? please!

    I am planning to wear my dress again for the AHR as I want to wear it as much as I can . I say go ahead and wear it as people who weren't at the wedding will get to see it and you get to show it off :-)

    I definitely wore my dress to our AHR.  The mothers were adamant about it, and a lot of our guests would have been very disappointed if I didn't.  Ours was a pretty formal ballroom affair though so I didn't feel weird about my level of dressiness.  It was fun to get dressed up all over again, and even catch a couple of photos that were missed on our wedding day by our photog (eg, one of me + my sister).

    I wore my dress to ours and I'm glad I did. Everyone was so happy to see it :)

    We are planning a backyard BBQ and pig roast and I can't imagine wearing it to that, but that is me.  The dress has never been a big deal to me but maybe if we were going to have in a more formal setting I may think differently.  I think if you want to wear it then you should.

    I'm wearing mine. We are having a backyard reception and I'm still wearing it. I know everyone will want to see it and I need to get as much use as possible out of it to get my money's worth. Hehe. I say wear it!

    Yes, wear your wedding dress! :) I plan on wearing mine for my AHR.  I think your guests (and hubby) will love to see you in it again or for the first time.  Have fun!
