Designated Driver Service

Hi Ladies,

Has anyone used this Designated Driver service http://www.ddlimo.net/ (clicky)? I'm considering using this for my friend's bachelorette party. What I like about it is that I don't have to pay a deposit up front and each person who wants to use it pays a fee for each ride. So if anyone bails, other people don't get stuck with the bill. We aren't looking to cruise around, just for a ride to our destination.

I'm just hoping that it is a reputable service. I saw 'your designated driver' on the recommended vendors list, however they only have 13 passenger vehicles (we have ~20 people) and they charge a flat rate.

If anyone has any other suggestions, that would be helpful too!

TIA!

    $5 LIMO!!!

We would use this for nights out in college.  The limo's arent in the best condition, but the drivers were always very nice (and would even wait while we would collect all our drunk friends outside matrix).  If you want something simple and affordable, I'd go with it.  The only other warning is that sometimes you have to wait a bit after you call for them to pick you up - it depends on how busy the night is.

    OMG $5 LIMOOOOOO!!!!

    I remember it fondly....sort of :P

Anyway, I've used it for sorority functions before and coming home from Station Square. I think it's fantastic service and would totally use it for a bach. party. I think the drivers get a kick out of it, especially when trying to shove a bunch of drunk girls into it and they are very nice.

We used the DD limo for my friend's bachelorette party and it was great! You can't really beat $5 each way for a limo ride.  If you are willing to spend a little more money I would look in to a party bus.  We had one for my friend's bachelorette last year and it was very reasonable (I think around $20pp) We all pitched in and the driver drove us around all of SS and the North Shore.  It worked out great because often times we got the skip the lines and didn't pay the cover charge because the party bus had a deal with most of the clubs.  We also got to stock the bus with the liquor and beer of our choice. Good luck with the party!

Just as a heads up, you can do this anyway with a lot of clubs in Station Square by calling them ahead and seeing if they do deals for bach parties.

I've used them many time for nights out in Pittsburgh. I never had any issues with them, it's a cheap & fun way to get around. If you are looking to not spend much $$, then this is the route i'd go!
