Made in the USA registry?

Hey ladies,

I am looking through our registry and I started doing a google search. Using Bed Bath and Beyond and Macy's isn't really helping to support US products, but I know my family and they are going to want registries that are national.

Anyway, I was looking and started to get excited over brands each store carries that are made in the US.. Pyrex, Calphalon, Fiesta, etc. Now I am wondering if there is a list anywhere that will tell you all the brands each store carries that are US made. Would anyone happen to know where I can find this?

I fully plan on calling them in the morning, but I'm interested to see if anyone else was thinking this.

Thanks ladies!

  • I know there was a post about this not too long ago on Registering & Gifts.  You might want to search the board there :D

  • Great idea, not so convientent for guests unless you can make it centrally located or just register for things you've determined to be made in the US.

  • http://www.madeinusa.org/ This website is not the easiest to rid, but the nformation you want is there. You might want to also consider an amazon registry because you will have more freedom to register for some brands that the brick and mortar store do not carry.

    Thanks ladies!
SCogs- Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely look over there now!

I have considered doing an online registry also, but I'm not sure how much of my friends/family would like it.

I decided to only use BBB as a registry. I would really love to register somewhere local, we are inviting 60 people from OOT so that doesn't really work for them. Maybe I'll look into it though for the local people..

I did some snooping around today (on that madeintheus website too, thanks MillBride!), and I found a list of 10-20ish brands that BBB carries that are all made in the US. So, I changed our whole registry up and we only have those items on it!

Ahh, the little things that make me happy lol.

    Thanks for your responses! :-)

Thats a really good idea. I'll have to check it out, my whole family has been trying to buy more madein USA products so I'm sure everyone will appreciate it.
