Bellagio photographer

Hi, has anyone used the Bellagio inhouse photographer for the whole of their wedding pics?
I have the Terrazza Di Sogno @ The Bellagio booked for my ceremony which comes with an hours worth of time with their guy.
I was then going to move onto my reception elsewhere with someone else although after looking through literally everywhere for our reeption we are thinking we may go with the Bellagio also.
The charge $175 for each additional hour so if I wanted an hours getting ready pics and 4 hours after wedding and at reception it comes to $875 which isnt too bad. The Bellagio wont let any outside photographers in at all and I really want to book my reception there and have pics aournd the casino etc.
The only thing I am worried about is entrusting them with my whole days pics!
The photos on the website look good but there are only a few.
Has anyone got any pics from weddings/receptions there?
Also will we know who our Bellagio photographer is beforehand so we can meet/spek with them etc about our vision or are they allocated on the day?? I  hope not!
Hope you guys can help!
xx

Hi, I'm a Wynn bride and am going to do the same with our photography. We'll add one hour pre ceremony and 3-4 hours post with the in-house people. My WC has emailed me a portfolio of their work so you should ask yours to do the same. Same thing about meeting the photographer, I was told that a little closer to the wedding our photographer is going to contact me to discuss must-do photos and other details. I'd say it's the same for you. I'd say also that you can contact the photo dept any time if you wish, so just ask for the number. Perhaps they won't be able to tell you who your photographer will be just yet.

Thing is it may be $875 for those extra  hours (which doesn't seem like much of a deal), but how much will the disc be with the rights to your photos? Possibly upwards of $1,000 in addition to what you've already paid. You could get an outside photographer for much less and have the rights to your own photos. But if no other photographers can take pics on the property even during the reception, that's an issue.

I would double check about the copyright to the images.  If you have to buy each one or they make you buy a cd, this could end up being very expensive.

    Hi there-
I got married at the Bellagio Chapels on October 2nd.  I would highly advise you to send an email to the gal at Cashman, she would be able to give you a better idea of how much the images are going to cost.  Your wedding coordinator can give you the email or phone number to speak with them.  I dealt with Cecile at Cashman and she was very helpful, giving a general idea of how much the CD would cost given the amount of time the photographer is there.  We ended up figuring it out to be around $800-1000/hr for the copyrighted CD, so you're looking at between $5000 and $6000 just for the copyrighted photos.

I am getting married at the Bellagio in November and this is a direct quote from an e-mail sent from Allison who is with Cashman Photo for Bellagio:

"You are able to purchase the Master Photo Disc with full copyrights to all your images. This is sold as a complete set only, as you cannot select certain photos to have on a disc. The cost of this does depend on the total amount of photography time you have. For example, within one hour your photographer will take approximately 70-160 photos, which would make the Master Photo Disc approximately $700- $1380. For two hours, the photographer takes approximately 150-330 photos, making the master photo disc approximately $ 1400- $2600. This item is our high-ticket item as you are purchasing the copyrights and reproductions rights. "

So on top of photography fee per hour you are paying that.

I ended up booking with them but it's not until June 2011.  I wanted the disc also and they did work with me on the price.  In the end after basically driving them nuts I decided not to get the disc.  I was explaining to my family how upset I was that I was being charged so much and my Mom asked me what I was going to do with the disc.  It was like a lightbulb clicked and I realized that I really don't need it..  My situtation might be a bit different though because we hired them for 8 hours.  There would be WAY too many pics. What I ended up doing was putting together a custom package including a 50 pic album and an additional 5X7 proof album with 125 pics (I think).

I would suggest thinking if you really need the disc and if not doing something similar or just try and make them give you a better deal.
