Programs

Just curious what you're doing or did for your programs?  How simple or detailed, did you have them printed at a staples/kinkos DYI at home, or go to a professional printer etc?

My mom found a company near her that only has 2 options that I haven't seen and it will be at least $200 just to print them, then we have to put the tassle on the side ourselves.  Once I see them in person, if I like them is this a good deal it seems kinda pricey.

I designed ours on Microsoft publisher and printed them on white carstock cardstock with a green ribbon. I used my parents home printer. This was the cheapest way (about $30) and we had lots of volunteers help us put together all 150 in less than two hours. They had to fold and tie the ribbon. After my MOH made uber complicated and expensive programs for her wedding last August and then had over half left over as well as people leaving them all over the place we decided it wasn't worth the time and money so we tried to go simple. Here is the front of ours:
    TTC #1 Since July 2011
    BFP #1 2/28/12- 3/3/12 CP at 4w3d
    BFP #2 4/1/12- 5/7/12 Missed M/C at 8w4d (measuring 6w3d)
    TTC on hold until December

We did a layered program, and printed them on my home computer/printer.  It saved a ton of money and was very easy to assemble.  Each page was a bit longer than the other and we tied up the top with a green ribbon.

We did a booklet style program, tied at the binding with a ribbon. We designed them in Word and used our home printer to print them. I have a great Word template that I'm happy to send to you if you're interested. We only had to pay for any extra ink for our printer and cardstock, which we bought at Staples. We made a party out of assembling them, and it really didn't take too long once we decided on the design. Hope this helps!
