Where could I find this?

Hello! I am trying to find somewhere to rent/borrow/get for cheap a pedestal board. Honestly, I don't know the exact name for these things, but here is a link to what I mean:

I don't care if it's a white board, bulletin, chalk, etc. I'm just going to tape a program to it for my ceremony.

I thought my venue (Mystic Aquarium) might have some, but my coordinator said they didn't. =\

Re: Where could I find this?

  • I wanted something similar, and my DOC found these for me:

Ah, perfect! Those are a lot cheaper than anything else I'd found. Thank you!

Edit: Is there a way to buy only one? It seems you have to buy at least four?
  • Welcome! :)

  • I don't know if you're up for doing something a little different than that, but I'm using a corkboard or maybe a whiteboard that I already have and putting it on a stand from my church, and then putting the program on that. I tried to find a picture of what I'm talking about but can't find it online. It's similar to the ones you posted pictures of, only the board part isn't attached.  So it's shaped like a tripod, but with a tiny ledge for putting the board.

I'm not getting married at my church but I'm borrowing it and bringing it to the church where we are getting married.  Is there anywhere you could borrow something like that from? I've seen them at restaurants and gyms and places that host events- if you have any friends working somewhere like that it might be easier to borrow than buy. Especially since the stand is the hard part to find, and you could get the board part at a Staples and get it ready beforehand. Sorry that might not be helpful at all.... my new plan with wedding details is to borrow as much as possible because I'm going broke on all the "little" purchases!

  • I thought about doing that, but I don't know anyone / where with access to a board. I'm still looking, though.

Try your town's library - sometimes they can loan things like that out.
