Etsy Addiction

Okay ladies, I know some have posted on here before about this... but I'm seriously nuts over Etsy. I love it! Not only do I find great things on there (just bought my veil and am working with a clutch designer for BM gifts), it's giving me a lot of ideas for fun DIY projects. So, out of curiousity, have you all bought anything for your weddings from Etsy? Did you have a good experience with the process/designer? Any designers you want to recommend?

I figure this might help all of us looking for bargain/cute/vintagey wedding items. :)

The few times I've gone to Etsy the website just seems too confusing to me.  It is all so scattered and there is so much information I can't find my way around it.

I'm addicted too!  I just ordered some cluthes for my BMs as well the other day and it was easy thus far, but I have to admit I was pretty confused too at first.  I am also looking to get jewelry for the girls, a hair pin for myself, and numerous other items that I probably haven't even thought of yet.  Great to know you got your veil there, I'll have to keep that in mind.  I'm using tulipcouture for my clutches.

I bought our cake toppers off of there! They are hedgehogs. DH and I were randomly searching just to 'see' if anyone made hedgehog cake toppers and low and behold someone did. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! They were a slurge item at $40, but I think they were totally worth it and they're now sitting on our mantel :o)

Meredith, all your stuff is/was awesome!

I agree though, it can be a bit confusing. I've been surfing for like 6 months before I bought anything. :)

Sgreen13, what are you hoping to spend for your headbands? I haven't bought from this vendor, but I love this headband and was thinking of buying if for my BMs little girls.

I too am addicted to etsy. I've gotten a few things from there. I got a beaded cake serving set and matching toasting flutes from Glass Box Menagerie. Lisa, shop owner was super helpful and sent me photos of everything to make sure it was okay before she shipped it. I had planned on DIYing these, but got annoyed with it after an hour.

I also got our return address stamp for RSVPs and Invites from lettergirl. Gina, shop owner put together a stamp that was exactly what I was looking for... I didn't really like one particular stamp she had listed.

I've had nothing but good experiences on etsy, before wedding planning as well as during.

I love it too.  It does take a while to search through.

I ordered my BM earrings from Indigomoon.  They are precious.  A fellow knottie recommended I DIY them too, and I know I could, but I am running out of spare time.  The earrings came fast and it was really easy.

I still need to find a hair acessory for me.  I like the idea of ordering headbands for the flower girls too.

I love looking at all the gorgeous stuff on there, but anything I have ever wanted was SO expensive that I had to say no to myself!

Meredith--you sure got some awesome stuff from there!  Love it all!

    I looooooooooooove Etsy!

For my wedding I'm making my own felt bouquets.  I've ordered a lot of the buttons I'm using off of Etsy.  I'm sure I'll end up ordering even more stuff once everything is said and done :)

I got my wedding jewelry off of there from seller Marmades, LOVE it. Also got my BM's pearl necklace/earring sets ($7 each!) from seller Firstfan. ETA: I also buy a lot of home decor items off there.

    That set is amazing!!

Well, I obviously love Etsy because I have a shop there. :P

But I did (and still  need to) order a few things for the wedding. I bought my sister who will be my BM her earrings. And I need to order a headband for myself for the reception and either a headband or hairclip for her.

There is such lovely stuff on there - I've bought lotion and soap from WickedSoaps which is amazing.
I bought a mug with a travel lid (kinda a splurge). I can't remember the seller on that right now.
I've bought clothes. Dog collars. I bought all my Mother's Day gifts on Etsy (including the card). I bought a french press cozy (to keep coffee warm longer).

Some of my favorite jewelry shops right now are PoleStar and Glitz_Glitter. Both their things are amazing! I think they would make great bridal pieces for nontraditional people or someone who wanted more color than the traditional white pearl set (not that there's anything wrong with that!).

There are some gorgeous rings on there also if anyone is looking for custom wedding bands.

    Welcome to the Etsy addiction!

I absolutely love Etsy! My only complaint is that it takes FOREVER to search for just what I want.

I just found this tutorial though on how tricks for searching it and I've been sharing it with everyone.  See what you think. I love the "Taste Test" the best.

    Here's the link.
