I need a good bakery recommendation! :-)

Hi all! I really need a good rec on a bakery for my wedding cake. My wedding is in October in Clarks Summit, and I do not have one place to start with finding a cake maker. The cake is honestly one of my least important items...so I am not looking for anything extravagent or crazy. I would like to stay Clarks Summit or north/east, since the church and my hometown is Forest City.

Any rec's would be great :-) Thank you!

We used Merry's Custom Cakes. the cake is delicious and greatly priced -- but they are very laxidasical (spelling?) -- taking a long time to return calls/emails, etc. But it was ontime, beautiful, and delicious for a fraction of the cost that most places charge.

I liked the people I went with here. We ended up going with Bakery Delight in Plains, which I LOOOVED, but its a little more pricey that Creative Cakes.

Go to Cathy at Truly Scrumptious! We shopped around for cakes and she by far had the best selection and the most delicious cake. She's in Kingston.

Try Lynn Sandys on pittston ave in scranton

or

Minooka bakery on birney ave in scranton.

Both make delicious cakes, minooka is a bit more expensive then lynn though. If you ddecide Lynn, I reccomend her vanilla cakes with raspberyy gel filling. Absolutey amazing!
