I dont know if I should...

Kick or kiss our travel agent.  I though we were DONE!  This guy is way to awesome for our own good.  He got us a 3 category upgrade the other day.  Today he calls to tell us that there was a promotion that was too good for him not to share with us.

He said that if we switch from Norwegian 12 Day Grand Med to Royal Caribbean 12 Day Grand Med without Greece, we can still have a high mid balcony but we get free air fair!!! The romance package, free entrance into the specialty restaurants, chocolate covered strawberries, champagne and $150 on board spending.

I know we should just switch because its only $300 more, it leaves on 14th instead of the 19th and we'll save over $2000 in air, but a part of me is crushed because I've always dreamt of seeing Greece..... Its so hard for me to let go. I'm just waiting to hear when we need to decide by or if we'll lose money if we switch.

    Oh gosh, that's a tough one!  Greece is a place I would love to see too.

    See Greece when you retire and save the money now when you need it.  We plan to start big travel again when our kids are grown enough to stay home, so that would be my choice.  However, if you think this will be your last big trip, then go to Greece while you can.

    With Mcmeghan on this one. We WANT to go a bunch of places, but with everything that we want in our lives NOW (house, the actual wedding, new car for FI) it just seemed smart to postpone the fancy vacays for a later date. We are still doing an all inclusive week long honeymoon in Cabo or Puerta Vallarta (still can't decide!!) so I know I will still have fun no matter where we go...

    And once you are able to do the Greece vacay in the future, you can do it on your own time and stay as long as you want, not a cruise ship's itinerary.

    Agree- save the 2,000 (that's a HUGE chunk of change) and take a nice, 2 week vacay there in a few years.

    I agree I would wait and skip Greece .. not only will you save a ton but Greece isn't the safest place to be right now!

    For $300 more and you get all that stuff, I'd say skip Greece and go another time.  Wish I'd had that option :)  Airfare to Barcelona and home from Venice is a little over $2,000 right now so that's a huge savings that you could put towards other things on the cruise or at home.

    Ok scratch that.  It doesn't save us any money.  I just got off the phone with him.  He worded the email wrong.  It would be the same price pretty much as the Norwegian one with airfare.  FI wants to just stick with what we have now, since he googled consumer affairs and didn't like the reviews on Royal.  I'm in love with their ships though, so maybe we'll do one of theirs next year.
