Help!!! I need a new Photographer

So my Photographer had a brain slip or something and booked my wedding for the wrong day!! When I asked her the next day if she was available for the right day she wasn't :( Now I have to start my search all over again! I"m completely frustrated of course. Which is why I hope you local Knotties can help a gal out. I need a new photographer.

My budget is around 1600- I'm willing to go up but only very slightly and I would like that price to include an engagment session as well as an album.

ahhh hope you can help me!

    I'd highly recommend Sivan Photography! We had our engagement shoot with her as well as a Bridesmaid photo shoot (which was a blast!!). She is amazing!! Super easy to work with, takes very creative photos and is really a great price. We get 2 photographers on our wedding day too, which I love!

    Hi there! I'm sorry to hear about your photographer! I am not sure when your wedding is, but we are using Lora Rodgers. 


    Her prices are very reasonable and she's fun to work with! I was in a friend's wedding over the weekend and Lora did her wedding too. Best of luck to you!

    My photographer was Lora Rodgers oddly enough. I definitely wouldn't recomend her anymore but i'm sure you'll be fine and she'll be great for you.

    On a side note, why do people plan so early! A lot of average priced photographers are already booked lol. ugh the search goes on. I have a meeting with Jessica Leigh tomorrow.

    I don't recomend Jessic Leigh, she has a bad reputation on this board after she didn't show to someone's wedding and she took like a year to get other people's photos back to them and they weren't happy with the result. She supposedly has had a lot of health issues lately. Just a warning. 

    People book photographers out early because all the really good ones and highly recomended ones get taken, just like your good venues, florists, etc.

    My wedding is 5/27/12 and I started looking for photographers way back and booked Lora Rodgers just to find out she had me on the wrong day and was out of the country for 2 weeks before I had booked her so I stopped looking for more photographers.

    All the reviews I've read about Jessica were highly postitive. She was the most organized photographer I've met with as well and her prices are very reasonable. Also one of my coworkers used and said she loved her.

    She did mention to me that the acidently double booked once but found another photographer for the bride she double booked.

    Anyone else have issues with her?

    So I called Jessica and asked about the time she missed a wedding or had health issues. She said she has never missed a single wedding in over the 200 she has personally done.

    Unfortunately I think you are getting her confused with Leigh Taylor who does have some bad reviews.

    Yeah that's a confusion - it was Leigh Taylor who missed a wedding on this board. Jessica did an AMAZING job of our wedding. It took her longer than she initially told us to get our pictures back but it was still a very reasonable time frame (like 8 weeks instead of 4-6) and compensated us heavily by providing free disks and custom cases for ALL of our family members! She was unbelivable & I felt like I got way more than my money's worth. If you're interested in seeing a full set of wedding photos I'd be happy to share our gallery with you to give you an idea of her work.

    elegant imagery is who i am using and they have done amazing things- but budget wise they are high. but i only found great reviews on them. good luck :)

    I'm so sorry! I tend to lurk around when I have a question, and did ultimately see your other post about the photographer. I hope you are able to find someone! I was a BM in a wedding two weeks ago and Lora was the photographer and she was good. She is pretty young and failrly new to the industry, so who knows if that had anything to do with it. Either way, that definitely sucks and best of luck finding someone awesome!

    Hi Ladies! I haven't posted on here in ages but I figured I would give my reccomendations even though the original poster found her photog so that girls who might still be looking can get some more ideas. I myself will be using Jessica Leigh (a friend and my sister have used her and she was great) but I have two friends who just got married and both of their pictures were phenomenal.

    Cayden Lane: Jacksonville based but the bride said they were still under 2,000
    Wes Weber: Tampa based but were also still under 2,000

    IMO both produced absolutely stunning photos. Good luck girls!
