Hey ladies! Hope your wedding planning is going well! I've learned some pretty valuable information while dress shopping, and I thought I would share it with y'all, in case y'all also want to do this.
Since we're July brides and bridals are usually taken about 1 month before your wedding, we'll be taking pictures in the hot summer sun (if you're planning on taking them outdoors). Not only will it be hot, things are also not as green and lovely as they are in the spring, and not really as colorful or as charming as they are in the fall and winter. At least around here things are usually just brown and dead. My bridal salon suggested that I do my bridal portraits in the spring when everything is just lovely. However, this also means that we need to have alterations as close to done earlier than if we were shooting for a month before the wedding.
So, if any of you July brides don't want to face the summer heat, you might want to consider taking bridals earlier in the year, and might want to plan on having alterations completed sooner than anticipated!
Happy Planning!
