how much is too much?

i am having a "mini" dessert bar, (cake, cupcakes, jelly beans, chocolates, cookies), a nut bar ( 4-6 different kinds) ...now the favors, i was going to do mini hot sauses, because FI puts hot sause on everything & our 1st date was going to eat wings, i realize not everyone likes hot sause, so was thinking of splitting it with 1/2 hot sause, 1/2 mini apple/pumpkin butter since fall wedding.  I know this all sounds excessive, but i am getting really great prices with vendors...but i also dont want it to be overboard with all the extras...i was only going to do 1 favor per couple, but then i realize that that may be an issue as well...what do ya all think?

My advice is that you don't overthink it. Definitely go for half hot sauce, half apple or pumpkin butter if you're committed to the hot sauce (I don't use hot sauce on anything!) If you split it up on the tables, then people can trade if they want. You have to base it on who your guests are also. If you have a lot of elderly family, they may not use hot sauce at all. Another option is to put the favors out on a 'favor table' and let people choose one on their way out. You could have a 'sweet' side and a 'saucy' side. However, you would have to have extras of each since you won't know what people will choose more of.

Hope that helps a little and I didn't confuse you more!

Whatever you do, have 1 favor per person.

And ditto PP.. don't overthink. Just have enough to go around! They sound good.
