Re: Questions about Avanti Fountain Place

I looked into Avanti Place for our wedding/reception.   I think it was too small for us as we were having around 80-100.   I believe it fits 10 round table which didn't leave much room for dancing.  Plus there are some obstructions in the center of the room that broke the room up too much for us.

I also know depending on the weather they can open it up to the outside.

I was not a big fan of the WC (Amy) there.  I think if she had been a bit more enthusiastic about helping us we would of considered it more.

It is beautiful especially if you are doing your ceremony outside.  I did see one outside when we went by to look at it.  It isn't private though so anyone can walk by and see your ceremony.

They do have a minimum food and beverage depending on the night you have your reception.

I know someone just booked Avanti here on the board so maybe she will chime in for you.

We just booked Avanti for our reception.  We are having a small wedding (abt 75 ppl) so it's perfect for us.  You could probably fit a few more, but not much.

If you do a google search for avanti fountain place weddings you can find pics of ppl having their weddings there.  It's beautiful, and we are glad that we won't have to do much in the way of decorations.  The linens (in a variety of colors), chairs, cushions, and votive candles are all included.

I did read some reviews that said negative things about Amy.  I found her to be much more responsive to us than other places I was looking at.  She responded to all my questions and emails within a day or less.  We made it clear to her that we were on a budget, and she worked with us, no problem.  In fact, my experience with her so far made me feel more comfortable booking with them.  It made me wonder if maybe she has been reading some of the negative reviews about herself!

They do have a food and beverage minimum, but it is adjusted for your number of people (unlike some other places we looked at--which is bad for those of us with small guest lists).

I really liked the venue but it was too small for our party.  I didn't like Amy though. We had a really negative response to her.  She was very ditzy and didn't really know how to answer basic questions.  But, that was 9 months ago so it sounds like things have improved. I would definitely check it out. The outside is awesome for the ceremony and/or cocktail reception.  And if I remember correctly, I think you hire a security guard to keep people away so the ceremony will be private. Good luck!
