FYI- Makeup @ Sephora

Just an FYI for the Syracuse laides...
Sephora does makeup (and airbursh makeup... yippee!!!) at their store in Carousel Mall.
The cost is a $50 gift card... which means you can purchase lipstick and other goodies for touchups throughout the night.
This (in my opinion at least) is a waaaaay better deal than paying someone in a slaon to do it.  You do have to deal with the mall,... which can be a pain, but I think it's a pretty good deal.
I will be doing a trial in the next few weeks then (probably) buy skin care goodies to use up until my big day.  I will post pics after the trial, but I have had my makeup done at Sephora (in Orlando) before and I am confident that they will do a rockin' job!
If all goes well and I am happy with the airbrush makeup, then I will cancel my appt at Liz Lanza's... they wanted $80 for the makeup alone.  Yikes!!!

sounds awesome! I have a Sephora girl coming to my hotel to do my makeup (if all works out well) since the closest mall is like a half hour away, but I am still really psyched!
In other news, have you gotten any teasers from your epics yet? How did they go? I'm excited to see!!!

Lol!  Oh my gosh, emie!!!  I just sent Tess an email begging her to send at least one teaser.  The anticipation is KILLING me!!!
Our shoot was a blast and (depsite like negative 10 wind chill) we had an amazing time- I know we will get some amazing pics out of it.  She brought us into this adorable little pub and we did some shots in front of a firplace sipping hot chocolate... just like you suggested.
I can't wait to see how they turn out... we didn't have them done until Dec 22 so, I am guessing with the holidays and slew of bridal shows this month, it will take a little longer than usual... but I can't wait.
I promise as soon as I get even the very first one, I will post it.
Thank you so much for your suggestions... you were spot on!!!

Theres so much more around now than back when I got married... all 3 months ago :) thats awesome!

So when you get it done for the actual wedding you need to spend another 50?
  • edited December 2011
    Yep... unfortunately.
I am sure I will put it to good use.  I may spend the first $50 on gifts for my BMs.
Still... the first salon I went to charged $80 for the trial and $80 for the day of.  And I had nothing to show for it once I washed my face.  At least this way I will have some goodies to take home.
If I wasn't hell bent on airbrush, I would have mine done at the salon where I have my hair scheduled... it's only $30 or $35... but I really want the airbrush, so I am willing to pay the extra.
