    i definitely think this is a hate crime.  unfortunately, i'm not sure it's possible to prosecute it as one.

    Yeah this is at my brother's school and apparently there's quite a bit of evidence that the students videotaped specifically because they suspected the kid was gay.  Its really sick and twisted and most of the Rutgers community (even those of us on another campus) are saddened and sickened by this. 

    I just don't know how people are such insensitive twats.  Not to mention it would never occur to me, whether a person was gay, straight, bi, whatever, to film them having a sexual encounter.  Ew no thanks.
