How did you know your dress was "the" dress? Did you cry? Butterflies? Immediately think of FI's reaction of you in the dress?

I went to try on that Mori Lee dress yesterday and I had all those reactions. I love this dress, I haven't felt this way about any other dress I've tried on. My MOH even cried. The store told me I need to decide within the next week to get the dress in by April 8th.

I'm so torn on the decision because I want to wear something I love but I don't want to disregard the dress my brother got me. I think I'm going to sit down with my brother this weekend to see how he feels about it and go from there.

    Can you do both? One from the ceremony (my vote = the one you LOVE) and the other dress for the reception?

    I like eagles idea.....I was a Mori Lee "bride".  When is your wedding again? Because they told me my dress would take about 4 months to come in and it came in slighly less than 2 months.

    @ PB - I am not a Mori Lee bride, but my dress took almost 6 months when I thought it would only take 4. You just never know.

    I love the Mori Lee dress. What does the other dress look like?
    I also agree with Eagles idea of wearing both but at different times.  Hope it all works out when you talk to your brother.

    April I would suggest going ahead and talking with your brother and then decide what you're going to do.  The Mori Lee generally have a delivery timeframe of 4 months, but they normal do come in early.  I do agree with eagles and you just never now, that why I wanted to know when was your wedding.  That dress is beautiful so just have a heart to heart talk with your brother and I am sure everything will fall into place.  Smile

    I love the dress you have pictured! When I ordered mine it took 4 months for it to come it so they could be correct.

    Great idea Eagles! I would definitely wear the one that you LOVE for the ceremony and the other one for the reception.

    And just to answer your question...I knew my dress was the one when I started crying and when my mama, MIL, and MOH all started crying. Even the other brides in the store all stopped and looked at me when I walked out the room. Everyone had something great to say about the dress and I felt soooo sexy in it! I can't wait for FI to see me in it next Saturday!!!

    I actually didn't cry when I picked my dress. I just kept smiling from ear to ear when I had the dress on.

    No other dress made me do that. That's how I knew.

    Hmmm...good question. My mom got emotional as did my sisters. And I didn't have any complaints about the dress like I did the others. Plus 8-months later, I am still at peace with my decision :-).

    Your dress choices are beautiful. I am sure either would look great on you. My dress took 6 months. Which was right in line with what they told me (6-8 months).
