HoneyMooning In Florida, Help Deciding.

So We are Both Orignally from Florida, and I love the beach so we decided to do 5 Days on the gulf coast, Now I've always been raised on the atlantic, Sooo I have NO ideal. The FI suggested Sanibel Island, Ive never been and well Google doesnt really have much to offer, We are a Young couple and I want there to be lots to see and do, not just the beach, We arent set on the gulf though I've heard the Shells are better, Which my FMIL is a huge fan of. Sooo What are your guys experince with the Gulf Coast, maybe you've honey mooned there before?

    As far as the Gulf Coast, Destin is a nice area to visit and has a large outlet mall in addition to the beaches and resorts.  You might also like Pensacola, lots of souvenir shops and beach bars and fun restaurants, and there is an outlet mall about 45 minutes away in Foley, Alabama.

    Sanibel Island is very nice, but I found it a little boring...especially if you're looking for more than just beaches. I love Naples a lot better because there's more to do.

    Idk if we were looking for oulet mall type things but, We want our honey moon to be Fun, and Romantic too... I just didnt realize how difficult this part is to plan

    My favorite part of the Gulf Coast is Clearwater Beach. It's just a little ways from Tampa, so you could always drive into Tampa as well, but I feel like there's plenty to do in Clearwater, and the water there is so clear (haha hence the name), and we always really enjoyed the beaches.

    This.  I spent a month in Pensacola for work, but absolutely loved Destin Beach.  One of the most beautiful beaches I've been to, great restaurants.

    Destin, Panama City Beach, and Clearwater/St. Petersburg are all nice areas IMO.  I'd skip PCD if you are planning on going during spring break times, though!

    I would suggest Naples. It is sooo beautiful and if you want outlets you could drive up to bonita springs where there is a ginat outlet mall. Naples has great restaurants and amazing beaches. And there are enough tourists that there is a little night life on Fifth avenue.
