I'm looking for a good Latin American dj in the los angeles area. I don't like the typical wedding music (YMCA type of music). My budget for a dj is no more than $1,000. Any recommendations?

    I totally recommend my DJ! I'm not aware of his current prices, but when I booked him (2009) he was under 1,000. You can find a review and his info in my wedding bio under "vendors" GL HTH!

    Shawn Vasquez, with Amazing Event DJs, was one of our top two picks for DJs.  Although we did not end up booking with him, my fiance and I both liked the positive reviews we read about him and when we met with him, we were impressed.  His website is www.amazingeventdjs.com. Good luck!

     I also recommend Luis Castro of Rhythmic Productions. He is insanely good. We just had our wedding and I'm telling you, he had all our guests dancing the entire night. My cousins and Aunts literally took their shoes off just to keep dancing! Another plus is that he doesn't do all those cheesy games. He's worth every penny!
