Timeline question

Ceremony and Reception in the same place.
After the Ceremony, everyone will move to a different area.  No pics to really take as we are doing it all before.  Ceremony seating will be taken out of the room and then we can all go back in........guests go back in the reception room.....then we are announced back in the room....and then what?  This is where I'm lost....then we have dinner?  First dance and then dinner?  I'm so lost here....

    Do you have an event coordinator or dj? They should help you with this. We are being announced, having our first dance, toasts, salad, dinner, cake, dancing. Parent dances will go somewhere in there.
  • I agree your coordinator at the venue should help.  Our DJ made a great timeline for our reception.  It was really helpful.

    East coast slow dance (an oldies slow dance to get ppl on the dance floor)
    Toasts
    salad
    centerpiece give away
    dinner
    Father's toast
    parent dances
    open dancing
    cake cutting
    tosses

    Cake (bit early then usual, FI's Grandfather's request since he can't stay out late)

  • We are doing grand entrance (of us) guests already in room... toasts supper... then cake etc... empty out to move the tables etc... Guests come back in, then we re enter for our first dance,
    Father daughter dance
    Son/Mother dance

    then BOUQUET toss... and the party begins!
