Tuxes?

OK We're getting married 8/24 and FI hasn't done anything for the tux yet. Does every one who needs a tux have to come to place to do one big fitting? Or can me and my FI and maybe a couple groomsmen go, pick out the style/color, have them fitted and then let everyone else (like dads) know what they have to wear and get fitted at another time?

    My fiance and I went to Men's warehouse and did it by ourselves. Then you just tell the guys to go in and they get fitted.  Men's warehouse is nice for us because my father can go to a location closer to the house and then one of our guys is out of state. He was able to get fitted in Iowa but will be able to pick up his tux in Illinois. I would def. get on it because Men's warehouse will probably want them all fitted in the next two weeks.

    If it makes you feel any better, my date is August 4th and my fiance hasn't the slightest inkling what he is going to wear. He hasn't even begun looking for suits.

    I'm just rolling with it. I know he won't show up in sweats.

    We did Men's Wearhouse too. My FI, the best man and I went and picked out what we wanted...the rest of the guys live out of town so they could easily go in, give our name and just get fitted. They said they needed at least 3 weeks though to make sure they had everything we needed. But you still have some time!

    We also did Men's Warehouse. They told us to make sure everyone comes in by about three weeks before the wedding, we've asked them all to go by August 1 (wedding is August 25).

    FI and I went by ourselves and then just sent the info to the groomsmen and our dads. Everyone lives in different places so using a national chain was great for us.

    My FI and I used Nedrebos, a Wisconsin chain.  We just went in and picked out what he, the groomsmen, and our dads would wear.  We then gave the guys the information.  Those who were near a Nedrebo's location (about half) went in to get measured, and the rest got measured elsewhere and called in their measurements.  All of our guys have been fitted, but I think you still have a little bit of time to get this done.  I would just make sure your FI has it done in the next couple of weeks so the guys have time to get measured, but it is nothing to stress about yet.

    I'm not sure about timelines, but your guys can get measured anywhere.  Just ask the place you're using what measurements they need from the guys. Then, the guys can either go there to get measured, or can go elsewhere.  Most places do these measurements free of charge.

    FI and I went to American Commodore and he picked out the style that he liked with the vest and ties in the wedding colors.  Then we gave the pricing information and told the guys by what date they had to be in to them to be fitted.
