Have to reprint all of our envelopes :(

Yesterday I went to the post office and the lady put all the stamsp on the RSVP envelopes. I then put the invites together as fiance put the stamps on the outer. 2 envelopes left and I notice the lady put the wrong stamsp on the RSVP. She put .20 stamsp......UGH! Stamps haven't be .20 in forever :(:(

I raised hell and they refunded me since she stamped them but now we cannot get any of them open and the ones we did open look like crap.

now we have to order new envelopes and pay for the calligraphy again.

:(

Re: Have to reprint all of our envelopes :(

  • Hmm. Have you tried putting them in the freezer? That supposedly seperates the glue and they will open again. You can then simply put a new stamp on top.

I did the freezer thing.  It WORKS!  I used the blunt end (non serrated) of a thin steak knife to help open them up - stick them in there for about 2 hours.  I didn't put enough postage on my RSVP postcards (postage went up) so I had to add to all of them after I'd already sealed them.  I then resealed all the envelopes with glue.  Worked like a charm!!!!
