If there were no etiquette involved, no side-eyeing possible, and no price issues, what "atypical" things would be on your registry?

FI and I frequently joke about asking a pool table, jet ski, and lots of accessories for our boat (a new slalem ski for me, some fishing stuff for him).

    I probably ask for surfing or paddle board equipment, a kayak?  One can dream.

    a new car.  =)  My little coupe turns 10 years old this summer, and I'm getting ready for something new.  I can't believe I've been driving it for so long!  Although, it has been a wonderful car and it gets excellent gas mileage. 

    Maybe when we have kids I can registers for an SUV.  Haha, if only...

    A jet ski, some fourwheelers, a whole new itchen set (including appliances).

    Possibly every clothing item from Anthroplogie, some cute new shoes. But hey those are for me.

    One of those SeaDoo boats, a month long honeymoon around the world, an All-Clad pots & pans set, one of those ceiling racks for all the pots & pans.

    Depends on the landlord, I guess. Our complex told us we could anchor, so long as we patch the holes when we move out. Hence the pot/pan rack and the dart board. LOL

    A VW Camper for us to travel the country as a newly married couple in. Or at least a Cessna...
    A canoe would be fine, too.

    And an entire kitchen, installed, from Ikea. That's a little more practical ;-)

    The bridesmaids all went together and got a BBQ grill for my friend's bridal shower. They really wanted one (they had just bought a home), but felt like they couldn't register for one. They were super excited.

    We already have two full households of stuff (we've each owned a house for over 6 years). So, we are going to register for all fun stuff. I really want to register for an iPad :)

    Ooh, I second the installed kitchen. And the landscaping service. And a new car. 

    And I would register for new hardwood floors. I can't wait to re-do ours, they're terrible. And maybe one of those extravagant dog houses for the back yard. My puppies would love that.
