Every wedding I have ever been to is inside a church. What do brides do as they walk up to the alter if wedding is in the middle of a huge lawn does everyone stand up for a obnoxious amount of time? Do they have a curtained off sectioned Im confused on how to proceed while staying semi traditional.Does anyone have suggestions from previously attended events by chance.?Thanks

    The guests would arrive and sit down in their seats.  The BM will process and the guests stay seated.  When the bride is ready, the guests will rise.  After the bride gets to her groom, the officiant can tell all guests to be seated.  It's basically the same processional as in a church.

    I had a tent closer to the aisle. It turned out cute, and fit with our style.
