What area are you looking in?

The Three Rivers Park District does!

Preferably the west metro. But we're trying to keep our options. Closer to the metro is better to us versus hours away from majority of our guests.

    Try local community centers.

Sorry I'm not more help! :0)

And the three rivers park district must have changed allowing outside caterers because they have approved catering list you have to pick from now :(

It's not in the west suburbs, but it's also not hours away... so I'll throw out the suggestion... The Historic Washington County Courthouse in Stillwater. We had both our ceremony and reception there and A) it's super gorgeous and B) it's super affordable.

Here are some from when I was researching for my wedding.  Some of them may have changed their policy since then, but maybe worth checking into:

    PNA Hall (NE Mpls)
    Centennial Ballroom (St. Paul)
    Cedars Hall (Mpls)
    Five Event Center (Mpls)

I'll let you know if I can think of any others.  If there's a particular caterer you'd like to use, maybe try asking them where they've done events. We knew we wanted to use Famous Dave's, so that's what we did to get more ideas about venues they'd worked at.  Hope this helps!!
