Changing our colors... again (vent)

So when it came time to pick colors, I asked FI if he had a preference or cared to be involved and on this topic, he said "not really".

So the original colors I was thinking for our wedding included ivory, sage green, chocolate brown and hints of yellow. Because of the venue we selected (and their unattractive chairs) I was thinking of modifying the colors to champagne, bronze and cobalt blue. I just became depressed with the colors because they were so dark for my daytime May wedding. When I vented to my FI he said we could change to chivari chairs and I could have my colors back. Woo hoo!

So last night I did a mockup of the invitation and he said that he didn't like the brown, felt it was too drab for a wedding and suggested black. I told him I didnt have a problem changing it to black, because it still looks good with sage green and ivory. I was just a little frustrated that he didnt speak up earlier (and a bit relieved I haven't purchased anything brown yet).

    Good thing you haven't purchases anything yet. You don't want to know how many times I have changed my colors and ended going back to my original colors. I hate being indecisive... lol

    I think we changed our colors 5 or 6 times before we decided on blue and silver. Good thing you didn't buy anything yet! We hadn't bought anything either. It's definitely a stressful time changing colors though!

    We went through 3 or 4 color changes. Does anyone think 3 colors is too excessive? I wanted to add a brighter color for balance, but one of my bridesmaids said to just stick with blue and green. Thoughts??

    I dont think 3 colors is excessive. I've seen some use 4 or 5 colors, especially if they are several shades of a similar color.

    We're having three colors as well - Dusty Rose/Dusty Blue/Silver. It started out as Dusty Rose/Dusty Blue/Gold, but we didn't like that as much as we thought we did.

    I wanted Brown/Hot Pink, but it was vetoed early on.
