At our tasting we were told that the DOC at my venue (who assured us when we booked that allllll would be handled by her) is leaving after the ceremony.
I'm too much of a control freak and I am worried that I might need someone there to make sure things run smoothly.
Since I CLEARLY did not budget for this, I need affordable reccs please. I already emailed Jessica (former knottie) and would really appreciate any and all DOC recommendations you might have.
TIA
Re: I think I need a DOC
I am using Karla. She has been great so far. I think she is on vacation right now, however. http://www.stylishevents.net/

Good Luck!
Since you have someone doing things up till the ceremony time, I would think she would work with you.
I hope you find someone great and affordable!
I def. recommend having one there just because the coordinator's main role (IMO) is protecting the money you've already invested. Meaning, making sure you receive exactly what you paid for, and trouble-shooting if you don't. The DOC holds the vendors accountable. What if it's the hotel that's not coming through? The Hotel Coordinator can't hold herself accountable...lol. I know it's hard to budget for this, but I figure if your spending thousands of dollars, a $400-$500 DOC fee to protect it is worth it. I think Letty is amazing, she seems very patient and thorough, plus you can always rent that tent thing she has...which is awesome..lol!
I know first hand that Justine is very creative and can help you not just with the Day of, but the actual look and design of the wedding. Some brides are not into it, so they need somebody who they can give some colors to, and they just run with it....I think that's her strong point. Karla is a total sweetheart, and she done some really beautiful weddings, including several Platinum sized events.
Most of them have competitive prices and might be willing to negociate... so I would def. recommend hiring any of these ladies. HTH!
