Input needed - incorporating 2 other ppl

Trying to help my daughter come up ideas to incorporate 2 more people into the wedding ceremony--The brides cousin and the grooms sister.  Both were asked to be candlelighters...problem is, they just found out that there can be no open flames in the chapel they have chosen, so are now not having candleabras.  They already have bridal party participants, singers, scripture readers, guest book attendant, and "greeters" to hand out programs.  They'd really like them to be a part of the ceremony...any ideas?

Are they doing any kind of sand ceremony or taking communion?  Maybe they could be involved that way.

I can't really think of anything.  My personal opinion is that it would be okay for them not to be involved so that they can just come and enjoy the wedding.

They are doing the "Cord of three strands" ceremony - nothing really for them to help out with on that one I don't think....they will be doing a couple's communion - so could see if there was something there they could do, but not sure <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-undecided.gif" border="0" alt="Undecided" title="Undecided" />

We don't have a lot of wedding experiance, so if you have any thoughts on how they could help out, would really appreciate it!  I kinda feel bad because all ofthe participants other than groomsman are all from our side of the family, so would really like to have the grooms sister involved in some way.  My daughter is an only child, so my niece is the closest thing to a sister that she has...really wanted her included too :(

I don't know much about the cord of three strands, but I'm wondering if they could walk the items down the aisle?  Same idea for communion.  Do they have a ring bearer?  Maybe the two ladies could be the ones keeping the rings?

I don't know, I understand wanting to find something for them to do since they were already asked to be a part of the wedding.  Any chance of adding a reading or two - short poem, quote, that sort of thing - or having them say a prayer?

The cord of three strands is a really cool christian ceremoney - can check it out at godsknot.com if you you're curious -- takes the place of unity candle or sand ceremony

As for the readings - already have 2 girls doing readings -- I really appreciate the input!

It's OK to not incorporate them.  They could sit at the front of the church in places of honor and just enjoy being there.
