B&B Recommendations in Lake Geneva

FI and I plan to take a mini-moon to Lake Geneva right after the wedding. We'd like to stay at a nice B&B, so I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. Are there any other romantic places in the 'burbs that we should consider? We're looking for something a little quieter and more relaxing than downtown. Also some of the wedding guests will be spending time in Chicago after the wedding, so we don't want to be obligated to spend time with them. When I type that it sounds awful, but really we're just looking for 2-3 romantic days by ourselves. Any suggestions?

The Herrington Inn in Geneva isn't a B&B but it's a small boutique (read: $$$) hotel  right in the dowtown area. We looked at them for our wedding and they have nice rooms and an attached spa. The lowest rate I've seen in awhile is $18/night but maybe you can politely ask about HM specials?

Just a thought if you want to stay around the burbs. Thanks for posting about Lake Geneva though-we're looking for recs too. :) GL!

Thanks! Right now, our favorite is Seven Oaks. It's the highest rating on Trip Advisor, but I like to make informed decisions.

**Edit** The Herrington is exactly the type of place I'm looking for! Thanks again!

I love The Mill Creek Hotel. It's right in the heart of downtown Lake Geneva & the rooms are beautiful! Check it out!

Well, I'm guessing you're looking for Lake Geneva, WI, not Geneva, IL, right?  My wedding is in Lake Geneva, and there are quite a few really nice places around the area.

I know they aren't B&B's but The Grand Geneva and The Abbey are really, really nice resorts.  If you like golfing, another option is the Inns of Geneva National.  They are like a small group of Inns on Geneva National Golf club (really, really beautiful there--we're having our reception there actually!)

As for B&B,s the TC Smith historis bed and breakfast is cute.  So is Case's Turn of the Century.  I've never stayed in either bc I live in the area, but they seem cute from appearance :)
