We haven't really decided yet, but we're thinking to Colorado, to stay in the mountains. And the HM will be a gift from his mom.

We went to Park City, Utah (in November).  I don't know exact cost.  I'd say a couple thousand.  That was everything, flight/hotel/food/car rental/activites.

Paris and then  the French Alps to snowboard. We are going to set up a honeyfund and the rest we will pay for ourselves. I think total cost may be around $6,000

The flights were 2k total. We got 5 nights of hotel as a gift. We expect the rest of the trip to cost around 3k!

Glad to see the group is traveling...everyone on my month board is going to Mexico or the Bahamas.

we haven't booked it yet, but right now we're thinking South Africa -- Cape Town which has wineries, beaches, penguins, etc. for a week, then a weeklong safari

FI is being super sweet and generous and I think it might cost us around 10-12k with all of the flights, hotels, transfers, food, fun stuff, etc

We are trying to decide now! FI has a co-worker who used to work at Starwood and can get us an awesome discount on their hotels. We are thinking of doing the Carribbean since he doesn't have much time off from work.

One place we are considering is Vieques Island off the coast of Puerto Rico - they just opened a new W resort there. Has anyone been there? We also are thinking about St. John - we went there 5 years ago and loved it!

As for the budget, we are trying to keep things around $3,000.

Too much!  We are planning it now.  Not sure if we are going to have it right away or have a delayed trip and a mini moon right after the wedding.  Australia/New Zealand is where we want to go.  If we take a mini moon, we want to go to Turks and Caicos.... It is actually less to delay it and take a mini moon, plus we get 2 trips.  Overall it is roughly $10k for at least 2-3 weeks in AU/NZ

We are planning to go to Disney world right after our honeymoon... Its about $2000 with tickets and disney hotel and stuff (maybe less if we can get discounts from here to then) ...and then in a few months FI just told me we are going to Las Vegas (this is where i originally wanted to get married) so hes ganna take me woohoo.. not sure yet how much that will be... we havent looked into it that much yet.

Wow.. all these amazing honeymoons!!! I'm 39 days away and have no clue! PJ can't get any time at all off for a few months, he's even calling in sick for the wedding! Our ideal spot would be Italy. Hopefully, we can make it work in April.

The honeymoon was the first thing we did after finalizing the date!  My Dad is gifting us most of the cost of the honeymoon.  We're taking a 14-day Transatlantic cruise that leaves from Ft. Lauderdale and stops at the Azores, Cartagena (Spain, not Colombia), Barcelona, Toloun, Livorno, disembarking in Rome and we're spending two days in Rome before flying home.  Can't wait!  My estimate is about $6,000 for the cruise, flights home and hotel stay.  The cruise was an amazing deal because a lot of people don't like the six days at sea without a stop, at least that's what the travel agent told us, because other cruises originating and staying in Europe were more expensive.

We haven't decided yet! When we first got engaged we were looking at places and one of the ideas we came up with was Antigua. We have never been outside of the U.S. (besides Canada), so I definitely want to go somewhere different. I was also thinking about a cruise so we could stop at different places in the Caribbean, but FI doesn't want to do a cruise. Any ideas?

France and maybe either Belgium or Switzerland.

I lived in Paris for a while, so I want to show my honey my old stomping grounds.  And then we might go to the Loire Valley or the south.  Or Corsica.  Or Basel.  Or Bruges.  I'm really not sure.

Our budget is about $6k for 2 weeks, maybe shorter.

Our original plan was Costa Rica .. but this past weekend FI and I were discussing and decided we might just do a cruise. We decided something that doesn't really require planning sounds like a fantastic idea right now lol!  I only get a week off work so we'll do a 7 or 8 night cruise through the Caribbean or Mexico area and plan our Costa Rica trip for our 1 year anniversary instead. Not sure how much it will actually end up costing yet but our budget is 5K.

Our dream was Australia, but we realized our money can take us further in costa rica. so that's where we are going! Costa rica...  our flight was purchased with miles from my FI's parents and everything else is a joint gift from his parents, grandparents and our honeyfund. Not sure about the total but we're going for 12 days and i'm thinking it's about $6-8k total. the one thing I wanted... nice hotels. And then we both wanted a combo of adventure and relaxation.

Jeni (or anyone else), PM me for recs for Costa Rica if you need anything.  I've lived there and worked in tourism, so I know a tonnnn about certain areas, especially La Fortuna, Manuel Antonio/Quepos, San Jose & Turrialba.
