Where is my dress????

Starting to get stressed....I have my first appointment with Olga on Monday.

Originally I was told my dress was being shipped to the bridal store on June 15th. I waited until June 18th to call. I was told my dress was being shipped on June 28th, but could be shipped sooner.  Well, now it is July 1st.

I'm worried about calling Olga and telling her I don't have my dress. I do have two other fittings scheduled and I don't think my dress will need much alterations that couldn't get fixed in two appointments versus the three.

Just so long as I don't stress eat....

Here is an upclose shot of my dress. That stupid bulge is from the bra I wore in the store. Hoping Olga can make it so I don't need a bra. It should also help my dress is a size 10 and not the 14 I was trying on in the store.

    Have you called the store today?  I would tell them that I am scheduled to have alterations on Monday and that I need my dress now....especially since it was supposed to be in 2-3 weeks ago.

    Ditto Leigh Ann, I would definitely call them, now would be the time that it's okay to go Brideszilla on someone.

    Ummm yep, now is the time to call the store and start asking questions.  I'd want to see the order confirmation between them and the designer and that sort of thing.

    Don't call Olga yet, there's still hope.

    I got the dress at Victorian Rose.

    I heard they aren't happy if you do alterations elsewhere. I remember someone else saying on TK saying the store got very snippy shen she went with Olga instead of their alterations person.

    I'll call. Crossing my fingers. Hoping for good vibes.

    Don't let them get snippy!  You have no obligation to use their alterations dept.  No need to even tell them where you are taking it!  I agree with Mary -- demand some proof of shipping dates, and if it hasn't been shipped, demand they contact the manufacturer and provide you the reason it has not been shipped yet.

    But yeah, if a company I ordered something from, where I was the customer and they were providing a service, got snippy with me about not continuing to use their services, I'd be real annoyed.  I think I might fire back with a smart a** comment along the lines of "well you have done so well fulfilling your obligations in getting my dress in on time, sure I would trust you to get my alterations done correctly and on time!"

    Haha Beth, you tell'em girl!  You are on a roll today!!!  I totally agree!  YOU are the customer....and if they decide to say something about the alterations being done elsewhere, I really would have to throw it in their face about how they can't even fulfill their promise of when it will be in and how I wouldn't dare trust them to alter my dress if they couldn't even keep that promise!

    I ordered my dress from Victorian Rose as well, it was supposed to be in yesterday and didn't come in... I hope your dress not coming in on time is a usual thing for them.

    I haven't told them yet that Olga's doing my alterations. I'm going to tell them that after I get my dress. lol.

    I would really hope they don't get snippy with anyone for any reason! I agree with Beth and Leigh Ann!

    I don't think you'd have to be a smart ass.  It's alright to say that you haven't been satisfied with the service you've received in regards to your dress arrival and that you're going to have your dress altered elsewhere.

    Truthfully I probably wouldn't get snippy on a normal day.  I'm having one of those weeks where every time the phone rings or I get an email its someone getting snippy with me about something, so its put me in that sort of mood!  Probably not a good mood to try to give advice in :)

    But if you haven't gotten your dress in yet, you probably do want to pretend to be nice to them while being firm in your demands.  It would suck to make some random sales person mad enough to "forget" to call you when the dress comes in.

    Hopefully it will come in before your appointment with Olga.  So sorry it hasn't yet and I wish the best for you with that store.  I wouldn't get snippy or bridezilla yet, but I would definitely call and ask questions.  GL!

    Calling right now. I'm on hold...

    The person I talked with said it was shipped and I should expect it next week. The shipping might be delayed b/c of the holiday.

    Well, I guess it is time to call Olga and let her know I can't make the first appointment.

    OMG?! Really? Did they explain why it was so late? I mean, they told you it would be here several weeks ago, it should have been here by now. I'm honestly wondering now if they didn't put your order in when they said they did. Undecided 

    Did you by chance ask to speak with the manager or owner of the store? I really think one of them should be addressing your concerns at this point.

    I guess I'm okay with this all b/c we didn't order the dress until March. We were told it takes 7-9 months for the designer of my dress to complete and ship the order. Also, the dress is coming from Spain. We were assured the dress would arrive in time for my wedding b/c of how simple of a dress I chose (I want to be able to pee on my own. Don't want help holding up my dress in the bathroom at the wedding). I didn't get the tracking number or talk to the manager. I believe I spoke with the girl who helped me when I picked out my dress.

    I'll called Olga and let her know I can't make my appointment on Monday. I still have two more appointments booked with her in July. 

    I'm trying to remember when I called V.R.B. and orignally asked about the status of my dress. I'm guessing it was April. I was given the expected ship date 7/15. Once I had that information I called Olga about getting squeezed into her very busy schedule. I was at the mercy of Olga's calendar.

    Now, I just need to work off the big ol' handful of chocolate chips I just ate.

    Glad you're satisfied with it so far.  And fingers crossed it comes soon.
