Which dress?

I am having trouble deciding:

1. http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Strapless-Draped-Lace-Column-Gown-VW351044_Bridal-Gowns-Shop-By-Designer-White-by-Vera-Wang

2. http://www.jlmcouture.com/Jim-Hjelm/Bridal/Spring/2012/Style-8210

3. http://allurebridals.com/Store_ProductDetail.aspx?pid=611cc22676434489g423

4. http://www.theknot.com/wedding-dress/anjolique-bridal/c161?src=-1

I am not normally a fan of mermaid dresses, but there is something that I do like about the one above. Any opinions or suggestions would be great...

Our theme is a light yellow with sage green and light tan accents and will be this summer.

Thank you.

Re: Which dress?

  • Have you tried any on in store? They all seem very close to me but i would be trying them on before getting too far in the thought process, what you think looks awesome could look like crap in person.

  • You could take these pictures wherever you go to try on dresses and it will give them a starting point to have an idea of what you're looking for and what direction to go in.

Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
  • i also think it all depends on your budget... there is adifferance in a davids bridal gown and then an allure gown and then you go to jim helm! i am not familiar with the last designer so i dont know the prices... all of the dresses are pretty but you need to try them on and see which you like best! you might be suprised and not like any of the dresses on you!
  • Of those that you posted photos of, I like the Jim Hjelm the best.

But if you post pictures of YOU in the dresses we could be of better help.

Also - the Vera Wang is very pretty. I love the lace dress with a champagne colored sash combo - very elegant.
  • I agree with Patty.. budget should be considered... but on looks alone.. The allure or Jim Hjelm. You honestly couldnt go wrong with any of them!

    Good luck!
  • Like PPs, I couldn't help but notice that you are all over the board budget-wise with these dresses.  Have you decided what your budget is?  And have you actually tried these on?  If not, I would suggest researching price points so you know what you're dealing with.  For example, Jim Hjelm starts at about $3,000 while David's Bridal can be as low as a couple hundred.  And then, once you're positive of your budget (which you may be for all I know...) take these pictures into a bridal shop so the consultant can see what you're going for.  :)

And now that I'm done being long-winded, I like the last one best.  But they're all absolutely gorgeous!

  • The Jim Helm dress is amazing. It has a great shape and the material is incredible.
  • On looks alone, I like #2 best. In fact, I love it! It's gorgeous.
