Using crazy daisies for bouquets HELP!

I am using crazy daisies as the flowers for my wedding, but I'm not sure how to keep them from dripping dye when I cut them to make our bouquets.

Anyone know?

The florist told us to wrap the stems in duct tape before wrapping in ribbon but I'm afraid they will die before the wedding! We are making them Thursday and the wedding is Saturday.

Any and all suggestions welcome!

Oh and has anyone used a bouquet holder? How do they work?

I have not tried this, but possibly dipping the stem ends in melted wax would prevent the dye dripping BUT they would no longer be able to get water so it would make them die faster and would need to be done the day of or late the day before the wedding.
  • I'd put them together Thursday and tie with a rubberband, then keep them in water until Saturday when you can do the duct tape/wax dip.
